OUR EXTERIOR PAINTING PROCESS

Wash:

We begin by pressure washing your home or structure with a low-pressure high-volume pressure washer. We also use the pressure washer to remove any peeling paint as necessary. During the washing process, most dirt, debris, and contaminates are removed. Occasionally we will have to hand remove some debris to keep from damaging the surface. In that case, removal is dome during the prep process.

Prep:

Imperial Painting will then wait for the house to dry. We do all scraping and sanding flakes, chipping, or peeling paint, then prime all bare wood surfaces, blistering siding will be brushed and back rolled at this time to help seal and hide for final coat appearances. Back rolling ids not done at time of spray application to ensure proper texture of applied paint. Not all blistering will be completely concealed upon completion.

Imperial Painting then caulks the entire house at this time. We use a 45–55-year caulk and seal all soffit vents, Vinyl windows, re-caulk windows, caulk the backs of highly visible lower fascia and soffits, and caulk all corner boards, door jams, cracks, and any other places to ensure the home is properly sealed.

As a rule, we caulk according to the manufactures specifications for the various surfaces which we come across.
